Our wedding at Spes Bona Guest Farm was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were completely taken by the setting — the peaceful lake, the lush green grass, and the stunning palm trees created the most beautiful, relaxed atmosphere you could ever ask for.
The scenery made for absolutely incredible photos. Every angle felt like a perfect backdrop, whether it was by the water, under the palms, or out on the open lawn. Looking back at our pictures now, it honestly feels like we were in a dream.
What truly made the experience even more special was the owner. They were incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating from start to finish.
What stood out just as much as the beauty was how well everything flowed on the day. The layout of the venue made it so easy for guests to move around, and everything was conveniently accessible without any stress or confusion. It allowed us to truly be present and enjoy every moment.

Bignand spacious, high ceilings, open plan for days.
It has absolutely everything you need, and is extremely beautiful, having morning coffee, or in our case champagne breakfast overlooking a beautiful dam over a huge backyard.
It broke my heart when we had to leave, but there is always a next time( a few next times for sure ).

We had an amazing time at Spes Bona! It is a very beautiful guest house with all the amenities needed for a very long and relaxing stay. The view of the dam is stunning, and you completely forget that you are 15min away from Durbanville, what an experience, 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a break.

Tricia and André. Thank you for the beautiful accommodation on your farm just outside Durbanville. We had the best Ladies' weekend at Spes Bona. The stunning views welcomed us on arrival, and the rooms were tastefully decorated and spacious. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen was perfect for our needs. Tricia Holtzhausen and André were amazing hosts and made us feel so special! Plus, being just 30 minutes away from Stellenbosch, Blouberg beach, and Cape Town is such a bonus. 5 STARS for Spes Bona Guest Farm!

I had the privilege of staying over at this lovely accommodation with a group of friends last Friday. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by our hosts, Andre & Tricia, who went out of their way to make this an unforgettable experience for us all. This beautiful self-catering unit/home is stylishly furnished and so comfortable. The spectacular view from the porch/braai area overlooking the farm dam was so serene and an added bonus. Highly recommended for a weekend/holiday break away with family or friends.
